Artwork & Design Services

Great branding starts with great artwork!

Every embroidered logo and printed garment begins with artwork.

If you already have a print-ready logo, that's perfect. If not, don't worry – we're here to help.

Before production begins, we'll check your artwork to make sure it's suitable for embroidery or print. If any preparation is needed, we'll explain exactly what's required and provide a quotation before any work starts.

Our aim is simple: to make sure your finished garments look as professional as your business.

Three Ways We Can Help

1. Production-Ready Artwork

If you already have a suitable logo or design, we'll carry out a complimentary artwork check before production.

Preferred file formats include:

  • AI
  • EPS
  • SVG
  • Vector PDF
  • High-resolution PNG

If your artwork is ready to go, we'll move straight into production.

2. Artwork Preparation

Many businesses no longer have access to their original logo files. It's common for artwork to exist only as a website image, social media profile picture, photograph or an old embroidered garment.

Our artwork preparation service can help if your logo needs to be:

  • Recreated from a photograph
  • Redrawn from a vehicle graphic
  • Cleaned up from a low-resolution image
  • Converted into a print-ready or embroidery-ready format
  • Adjusted to achieve the best possible embroidered or printed result

We'll always assess your artwork first and let you know if any preparation is required before we begin.

3. Creative Design Services

Looking for something completely original?

Our in-house graphic designer can create custom artwork for:

  • Company clothing
  • Event and charity T-shirts
  • Teamwear
  • Merchandise
  • Promotional clothing
  • New logo concepts
  • Logo recreation
  • Bespoke graphics and illustration

Creative design is a professional service and every project is individually quoted before any design work begins.

Design Expertise Behind Every Project

Our artwork and design service is led by an in-house professionally trained graphic designer with experience developing creative work from initial concept through to finished products.

With a background including:

  • HNC Graphic Design — Grade A
  • HND Graphic Design — Grade A
  •  BA (Hons) Graphic Design & Visual Communication degree
  • Industry experience with businesses during her studies and beyond.

She has worked across the full creative process — from developing ideas and visual concepts through to preparing designs for real-world applications.

This means every project is approached with an understanding of both design and production. A successful garment design needs to look great, communicate clearly and work perfectly when embroidered or printed.

We've Seen It All

Don't worry if all you have is:

  • A photograph of your logo on the side of a van
  • An old embroidered fleece or polo shirt
  • A screenshot from your website or Facebook page
  • A faded business card
  • A low-quality image sent by email

These situations are more common than you might think, and in many cases we can recreate professional artwork from them.

If artwork preparation is required, we'll explain the process and agree any costs with you before work begins.

Why Artwork Matters

High-quality artwork helps us produce:

  • Sharper embroidery
  • Cleaner printing
  • More accurate colours
  • Better detail
  • More consistent branding across every garment

Taking the time to prepare artwork correctly means you'll receive clothing that represents your business professionally.

Frequently Asked Questions

What if I only have a photo of my logo?

That's absolutely fine. Send us what you have and we'll assess it. In many cases we can recreate the artwork into a professional, production-ready format.

Will you tell me if artwork needs work?

Yes. We'll always check your artwork before production and explain if any preparation is recommended. No artwork preparation is carried out without your approval.

Can you design a completely new logo or T-shirt graphic?

Yes. Our in-house graphic designer can create original artwork for businesses, events, clubs and promotional clothing. Every project is quoted individually based on the brief.

Do I own the finished artwork?

Artwork created specifically for production remains the intellectual property of Workwear Scotland unless otherwise agreed. If you require ownership or editable artwork files, just let us know and we'll discuss the available options before work begins.
